European Union (EU)* : Suspension of the Common Customs Tariff duties on certain fertilisers
The Council of the EU has adopted Regulation (EU) 2026/1181 published on 29 May 2026 to suspend the Common Customs Tariff (CCT) duties on certain fertilisers.
2.The suspension of CCT duties applies to urea and ammonia, certain nitrogen-based fertilisers, and mixtures containing nitrogen up to a certain volume of their imports. The measure is limited to a quota of goods equal to the volume of most-favoured-nation imports in 2024 plus 20% of the volumes imported from Russia and Belarus in the same year.
