Dear Sirs,
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 78/2024 of 17 January 2024, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/114 on 24 January 2025 to impose a definitive countervailing duty on imports of electric bicycles originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Salient points of the Regulation are set out below -
(a) Product | : | Cycles, with pedal assistance, with an auxiliary electric motor, currently falling under CN codes 8711 60 10 and ex 8711 60 90 (TARIC code 8711 60 90 10) |
(b) Rate of duty | : | 17.2% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 3.9% to 15.1%) |
(c) Effective date | : | 25 January 2025 |

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
