Dear Sirs,
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 592/2024 of 19 July 2024, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/60 on 16 January 2025 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty, definitively collect the provisional duty on imports of erythritol and levy the definitive anti-dumping duty on the registered imports of erythritol originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Salient points of the Regulation are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Erythritol, in its pure form or contained in blends containing less than 10% of other products by weight, currently falling under CN code ex 2905 49 00 for erythritol in its pure form and CN codes ex 2106 90 92 and ex 2106 90 98 for blended products (TARIC codes 2905 49 00 15, 2106 90 92 65, and 2106 90 98 15) |
| (b) Rate of duty | : | 233.3% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 31.9% to 156.7%) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 17 January 2025 |
| (d) Collection of duty | : | The amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1959 shall be definitively collected. |
3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
