Brazil : Modification of Import Duties on Various Products

Dear Sirs,

The Brazilian Government has modified its import duties on various products.  Among others:

1. certain processing units classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur¹) Common Classification (NCM) code 8471.50.10 will now face a 14.4% import duty;
2. keyboards classified under NCM code 8471.60.52 will now face a 10.8% import duty;
3. certain printed circuit assemblies classified under NCM code 8473.30.90 will now face a 7.2% import duty;
4. certain other apparatus for the reception, transmission or regeneration of voice, images or other data in a wired network, classified under NCM code 8517.62.59, will now face a 12.6% import duty; and
5. certain other digital transmitters with a built-in receiver, classified under NCM 8517.62.72, will now face a 14.4% import duty.

2.For details, traders are advised to consult their importers in Brazil and/or refer to the Appendix for the Brazilian Resolution No. 732/2025 (in Portuguese).

¹ The Southern Common Market (Mercosur) includes Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Membership of Venezuela has been temporarily suspended since 2 December 2016.
