Dear Sirs,
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 882/2024 of 25 October 2024, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/81 on 14 January 2025 to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel plated or coated with tin originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Salient points of the Regulation are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Tin mill flat-rolled products, of iron or non-alloy steel, coated or plated with tin, whether or not coated with a plastic material and/or varnished, currently falling under CN codes 7210 11 00, 7210 12, ex 7210 70, 7210 90 40, ex 7210 90 80, 7212 10, and ex 7212 40 (TARIC codes 7210 70 10 15, 7210 70 80 20, 7210 70 80 92, 7210 90 80 20, 7212 40 20 10, 7212 40 80 12, 7212 40 80 30, 7212 40 80 80, and 7212 40 80 85) |
| (b) Rate of duty | : | 62.6% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 14.1% to 47.1% ) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 15 January 2025 (the duty will apply for six months) |
| (d) Collection of duty | : | The release for free circulation in the EU of the product shall be subject to the provision of a security deposit equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty. |
3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
