The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 19 February 2025 the institution of investigation and commencement of preliminary phase antidumping duty investigation pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 to determine whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the US is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the US is materially retarded, by reason of imports of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) from the Mainland of China that are alleged to be sold in the US at less than fair value. 2.Interested parties wishing to participate in the investigation should file an entry of appearance with ITC not later than seven days after publication of the FR notice. Written submissions should reach ITC on or before 10 March 2025. Besides, ITC has scheduled a conference in connection with the investigation on 5 March 2025. Requests to appear at the conference should be emailed to preliminaryconferences@usitc.gov on or before 3 March 2025.
3.For traders involved in the export of the subject products produced in Guangdong, please contact Zheng Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Guangdong Department of Commerce at 8620 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong Province in responding to antidumping investigations against products of the Province.
