Dear Sirs,
The UK Government published Trade Remedies Notice 2024/10 on 8 October 2024 to vary the definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China following the transition review. 2.Salient points of the notice are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Ceramic flags and paving, hearth or wall tiles; ceramic mosaic cubes and similar, whether or not on a backing; and finishing ceramics, except single tiles where (i) the largest surface area of which equals or exceeds 0.36 metres squared unless the differential relief on the largest surface exceeds 3 millimetres (mm) or (ii) there is an edge equal to or longer than 600mm, unless the differential relief on the largest surface exceeds 3mm, currently falling under UK Global Tariff commodity codes 6907 2100 00, 6907 2200 00, 6907 2300 00, 6907 3000 00 and 6907 4000 00, originating in the Mainland of China |
| (b) Rate of duty | : | 69.7% of the net, free-at-the-frontier price, before other amounts of import duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 13.9% to 36.5%) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 24 November 2022 |
3.The definitive anti-dumping on all other ceramic tiles exempted by the change, are revoked from 24 November 2022.
4.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
