Dear Sirs,
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 482/2023 of 14 July 2023, the European Commission published a notice C/2024/5344 on 30 August 2024 initiating an interim review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of continuous filament glass fibre products originating in the Mainland of China. 2.The product under review is chopped glass fibre strands, of a length of not more than 50 mm; glass fibre rovings, excluding glass fibre rovings which are impregnated and coated and have a loss on ignition of more than 3% (as determined by the ISO Standard 1887); and mats made of glass fibre filaments excluding mats of glass wool, currently falling under CN codes 7019 11 00, ex 7019 12 00, 7019 14 00 and 7019 15 00 (TARIC codes 7019 12 00 22, 7019 12 00 25, 7019 12 00 26, 7019 12 00 39), originating in the Mainland of China. The review concerns the examination of both dumping and injury.
3.To enable the Commission to decide whether sampling is necessary, and if so, to select a sample, all exporting producers in the Mainland of China, or representatives acting on their behalf, are requested to provide the Commission with information on their company(ies) within 7 days from 30 August 2024. The information must be provided via TRON.tdi at: https://tron.trade.ec.europa.eu/tron/tdi/form/R825_SAMPLING_FORM_FOR_EXPORTING_PRODUCER.
4.All interested parties may make their views known, submit information and provide supporting evidence within 37 days from 30 August 2024, unless otherwise specified. They may request to be heard by the Commission investigation services. A request for hearing with or intervention of the Hearing Officer, who reports directly to the Commissioner for Trade of the EU, may also be made. Hearing requests should be made in writing, specifying the reasons for the request, at the earliest possible time.
5.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
