Dear Sirs,
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 186/2020 of 9 March 2020, the European Commission published notice C/2024/3539 on 6 June 2024 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of steel road wheels originating in the Mainland of China. 2.The product concerned is wheels of steel designed for use on the road, whether or not with their accessories and whether or not fitted with tyres, designed for: (i) road tractors; (ii) motor vehicles for the transport of persons and/or the transport of goods; (iii) special purpose motor vehicles (for example, fire fighting vehicles, spraying lorries); and (iv) trailers or semi-trailers, not mechanically propelled, of the above listed vehicles, currently falling under CN codes ex 8708 70 10, ex 8708 70 99 and ex 8716 90 90 (TARIC codes 8708 70 10 80, 8708 70 10 85, 8708 70 99 20, 8708 70 99 80, 8716 90 90 95 and 8716 90 90 97). Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping measures will expire at midnight of 5 March 2025.
3.Definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China have been imposed since 5 March 2020. The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 66.4% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rate at 50.3%).
