Dear Sirs,
The European Commission published notice C/2024/7407 on 9 December 2024 announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of certain prepared or preserved sweetcorn in kernels originating in the Mainland of China. 2.The product under investigation is sweetcorn (Zea mays var. saccharata) in kernels, prepared or preserved by vinegar or acetic acid, not frozen and sweetcorn (Zea mays var. saccharata) in kernels prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid, not frozen, other than products of heading 2006, currently classified under CN codes ex 2001 90 30 (TARIC code 2001 90 30 10) and ex 2005 80 00 (TARIC code 2005 80 00 10).
3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
