Further to Commercial Information Circular (CIC) No. 185/2021 dated 26 March 2021 and CIC No. 748/2020 dated 14 October 2020, the Indonesian government initiated an investigation on the extension of safeguard measures on certain articles of apparel and clothing accessories on 7 November 2024. Products covered in the investigation include the HS headings of 6101, 6102, 6103, 6104, 6105, 6106, 6109, 6110, 6111, 6117, 6201, 6202, 6203, 6204, 6205, 6206, 6209 and 6214. The Trade and Industry Department will keep the trade informed of the development.
2.The notification (in English) dated 8 November 2024 circulated by the World Trade Organization on the initiation of the safeguard investigation by Indonesia is available at:
3.Those having substantial interest and wishing to be considered as interested parties in the investigation should submit written request not later than 15 November 2024. All submissions and requests made by interested parties must be sent both in written letter and in electronic format, and must indicate the name, address, email address, phone number and fax number.
