Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 422/2020 of 26 May 2020 regarding the preliminary determination of countervailing duty (CVD) investigation by the US Department of Commerce (DoC) against forged steel fluid end blocks from the Mainland of China, the DoC announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 11 December 2020 the final determination that countervailable subsidies were being provided to producers and exporters of the Chinese products. DoC subsequently announced in the FR notice of 29 January 2021 to amend the final estimated subsidy rates from 16.80% - 337.07% to 16.80% - 336.55%. The FR notices are available at:
2.The US International Trade Commission (ITC) will make its final injury determination no later than 45 days after DoC's final determination. If the ITC makes affirmative final injury determination, the DoC will issue CVD order. The US Customs and Border Protection will continue to suspend liquidation of the subject imports and require a cash deposit of the estimated duties for subsequent entries in accordance with the rates as set out in the final determination. However, if the ITC determines that such injury does not exist, this proceeding will be terminated, and all estimated duties deposited or securities posted will be refunded or cancelled.

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products of the Province.
