Mexico : Amended Labelling and Packaging Requirements for Cleaning Products

The Mexican government has amended its mandatory labelling and packaging requirements for domestically-produced and imported household cleaning products. The new requirements as set out in NOM-189-SSA1/SCFI-2018 will enter into force on 13 December 2019.

DETAILS

2.The new requirements set out that for domestically-produced and imported household cleaning products including soaps, detergents, cleaners, bleaches, starches for external use, disinfectants, stain removers, deodorants and air fresheners, they have to comply with the new labelling and packaging requirements such as the use of additional symbols for products containing poisonous or corrosive substances.
