The Office of the Guangdong Province in Establishing the Pearl River Delta National-Independently Innovative Demonstration Zone and the General Affairs Office of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone of the People's Republic of China jointly issued on 19 December 2016 a notice "Implementation Plan on the Joint Development of the 'Pearl River Delta National-Independently Innovative Demonstration Zone' and 'China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone' (2016-2020)".
