The laws which the Trade and Industry Department (TID) is responsible for implementation, including the Import and Export Ordinance (Cap. 60), Reserved Commodities Ordinance (Cap. 296) and their subsidiary regulations, provide for regulation and control of import of articles into Hong Kong and export of articles from Hong Kong. Any person breaching the aforementioned Ordinances and/or their subsidiary regulations commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine and/or imprisonment.
