Any amendments of an approved licence could only be made by the Trade and Industry Department upon receipt of written applications for amendments by the importers/exporters concerned.

For paper licence, request for amendment of an approved import/export licence should be made in the form of a letter, with all available copies of the issued licence returned. The letter should state the import/export licence number concerned, reason(s) for amendment and the item(s) to be amended, and a business chop should be applied thereon.

Request for amendment of an approved electronic import/export licence issued through the Trade Single Window should be submitted also through the Trade Single Window.

Applicant should provide copies of bill of lading/air waybill, invoice and packing list to support amendments of relevant particulars on the licence.
