Procedures for Requesting Information

1. Requests for information may be made orally or in writing.
2. Oral requests will usually suffice where the information sought can be provided readily and simply, for example by oral replies or provision of leaflets or standard forms. The Department may, however, ask for an oral request to be confirmed in writing where necessary or appropriate.
3. Written requests may be made by letter or by the application form, and should be addressed to the Access to Information Officer of the Department.

Charges

Other than publications which are available free of charge, or at a price specified, the following photocopying charge will be levied:

Photocopying black and white on A3 or A4 sized paper

The standard fee is $1.5 per copy on A4 sized paper and $1.6 per copy on A3 sized paper unless otherwise provided by enactment or approved by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Treasury). Photocopying made on both sides of a sheet is counted as two copies.
(A document usually means a booklet, a report or an enclosure in a file).

The standard fee is $57 per CD.
