The HKSAR Government announced on 21 March 2020 the resumption of the special “work-from-home” arrangement for government employees from 23 March 2020 until further notice in order to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID 19 in the community.
Following the above special work arrangement, the Trade and Industry Department will operate at the usual business hours from 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. from Monday to Friday to provide essential and basic services with reduced manpower. Frontline services will be open during the afore-said business hours but back end processing may take more time. The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) will not be open to the public but applications for SME Export Marketing Fund will continue to be received.
Infection control measures will be implemented at the Trade and Industry Tower to reduce the risk of infection and the spread of the virus. These measures include checking the body temperature of persons entering the building, providing alcohol hand sanitizer at counters, etc. In this connection, visitors may need to line up to enter the building due to the need for body temperature check. We encourage submission of licensing and funding applications by email or by post as appropriate.
