Implementation of Revision of Fees for Certain Textiles and Certification Applications

The Department issued a circular on 6 March 2008 entitled "Revision of Fees for Certain Textiles and Certification Applications"
(http://www.tid.gov.hk/english/aboutus/tradecircular/all_in_one/2008/as032008.html) to inform traders of the revision of fees in respect of certain certification and textiles licensing related documents, subject to the passage of the Import and Export (Fees) (Amendment: Fee Revision) Regulation 2008 published in the Gazette on 1 February 2008.

As the legislative process has been completed, the new fees for the following items will be introduced with effect from 27 March 2008:

(a) Production Notification for Cut and Sewn Garments (lodged using electronic services¹ )	34	41
(b) Consignment-specific Export Licence Form 4 (TIC 353)	56	44

The following fee in respect of Certificate of Origin will be introduced with effect from 1 July 2008:

The existing application and payment procedures for the items set out in paragraph 2(a) to (d) above will remain unchanged.

¹The fee for PN lodged on paper will be increased from $49 to $57. The paper mode is reserved for contingency situations (e.g. computer breakdown).

²The fee for CO applications made on paper will be increased from $110 to $125. The paper mode is reserved for contingency situations (e.g. computer breakdown).
