NATIONS SANCTIONS (AFGHANISTAN) (AMENDMENT) REGULATION 2002 This is to announce
for general information that on 19 July 2002 the Government gazetted the
United Nations Sanctions (Afghanistan) (Amendment) Regulation 2002 (L.N.
134 of 2002). the prohibition
of the supply, delivery, exportation and the carriage of any arms
and related material, including weapons, ammunition, military
vehicles, military equipment and paramilitary equipment, and any
component for the aforementioned to relevant persons or undertakings
(Usama bin Laden, the Al-Qaida Organization, the Taliban and their
associates); the prohibition
of the provision of any technical advice, assistance or training
related to military activities to relevant persons or undertakings; the prohibition
of the making of any funds or other financial assets or economic
resources available for the benefit of relevant persons or undertakings;
the restriction
on entry into or transit of relevant persons through the Hong
Kong Special Administrative Region; and the lifting
of the sanctions against Ariana Afghan Airlines aircraft and any
aircraft owned, leased or operated by or for the Taliban. WARNING IMPORTANT
