European Union (EU)* : Impending Expiry of Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Furfuraldehyde Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 157/2005 of 5 May 2005, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of furfuraldehyde originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS

2. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of furfuraldehyde originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 22 January 1995 at a rate of EUR 352 per tonne. Following an interim review, the duty had been extended for another four years starting from 23 December 1999. The Commission initiated an expiry review on 18 December 2003 on the anti-dumping measures. Based on the results of the review investigation, the anti-dumping duty was maintained for another five years since 29 April 2005.
   
   

3. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in section 2 of the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire on 29 April 2010.
