European Union (EU)* : Impending Expiry of Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Tungsten Carbide and Fused Tungsten Carbide Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 11/2005 of 7 January 2005, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of tungsten carbide and fused tungsten carbide originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS

  1. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of tungsten carbide and fused tungsten carbide originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 10 April 1998 at a rate of 33% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price before duty. On 8 April 2003, the Commission initiated an expiry review on the anti-dumping measures. Based on the results of the review investigations, the anti-dumping duty was maintained for another five years since 1 January 2005.

  1. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in section 2 of the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire on 1 January 2010.
