European
Union (EU) *: Classification of Certain Goods in the
Combined Nomenclature
The European Commission
has adopted a Regulation concerning the classification of certain goods
in its commodity classification system, the Combined Nomenclature (CN).
The Regulation stipulates the CN classification of certain goods to
ensure uniform application of the CN by Member States' customs authorities.
The goods concerned are certain video reproduction apparatuses known
as 'home cinema systems' and network analysers designed specifically
for analysing the traffic in a network. Details are set out in Commission
Regulation (EC) No. 129/2005, a copy of which is attached
(pdf format) to this circular for reference.
