Indonesia : Halal Products Certification
The Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia has earlier held a National Coordination Meeting on Halal Products Guarantee for Local Products and Imported Products. It was agreed that all consuming products (local and imported) in Indonesia should be accompanied by Halal Certificate from Halal Certification Board. The Certification Board, formed by Moslem Organisations in Indonesia, manages and supervises the activity of Halal Products Guarantee in Indonesia. The Department will keep the trade informed of any further development on the issue.
