JavaScript setting |

JavaScript must be enabled to execute E-services applications.
To check / enable JavaScript, please perform the following steps:
- At menu, select "Tools", then "Internet Options"
and "Security".
- Click "Internet" icon, then "Custom Level".
- Scroll down to "Scripting".
- Click "Enable" at "Active scripting" and "Scripting
of Java applets".
- Click "OK" to complete the set-up.

For user with Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or above, TID pop-up message
may be blocked by the IE pop-up blocker. To check / turn off the
blocker, please perform the following steps according to the version
of IE:
- Open Internet Explorer
- On the Tools menu, point to "Pop-up Blocker", then click
"Pop-up Blocker Settings".
- Enter "www.tid.gov.hk" in "Address of website to
allow" and then click "Add".
- Click "Close" to complete the set-up.

Warning message about e-Certificates |

The E-Services of the Department make use of e-Certificates issued
by Hongkong Post. When you see the warning message "The security
certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted
certificate authority" when using the E-Services, you should
configure your browser to recognise e-Certificates issued by Hongkong
Post. Please visit the following page and follow the instructions
to download and install the root certificate of
Hongkong Post.

JavaScript and pop-up blocker settings |

JavaScript must be enabled to execute E-service applications. To
check / enable JavaScript, please perform the following steps:
- At menu, select "Tools", then "Options", and the tab "Content".
- Click "Enable Javascript".
For user with Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or above, TID pop-up message
may be blocked by pop-up blocker. To check/turn off the blocker,
please perform the following steps:
- On the same screen, click "Exceptions" for "Block
pop-up windows" check-box.
- Enter "www.tid.gov.hk" in "Address of web site"
and click "Allow".
- Click "Close" to complete the set-up.

Warning message about e-Certificates |

The E-Services of the Department make use of e-Certificates issued
by Hongkong Post. When you see the warning message "Website Certified
by an Unknown Authority" when using the E-Services, you should
configure your browser to recognise e-Certificates issued by Hongkong
Post. Please visit the following page and follow the instructions
in Sections 1 and 2 to download and install the root certificate of
Hongkong Post.
