Looking Forward

  • Despite the adoption of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, Members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) have continued the negotiations on certain outstanding issues, including the disciplines on fisheries subsidies relating to overcapacity and overfishing, with a view to making recommendations to further enhance the disciplines under the Agreement.
  • Hong Kong, China fully supports the work of the WTO to clarify and improve disciplines on fisheries subsidies, and will continue our constructive participation in the negotiations.
