Performance Pledge

Normally, the approval message for PN will be sent out after 1.5 clear working days upon receipt of the application. However, the processing time may be longer if the PN is selected for pre-issue inspection. In this case, the Department will, on a best endeavour basis, send out the approval message in 2 clear working days upon completion of the inspection, provided that the inspection reveals no discrepancy.

As for enquiries on permissible limits for component parts and classification enquiries, the target turnaround time is 1 clear working day for simple enquiries and 4 clear working days for complicated enquiries.
