Import and Export Licensing Requirements

Licence application procedures (for paper form)

Step 1:

Purchase licence application forms from the Shroff and Form Sales Counter at Room 1309, 13/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon City, Hong Kong.

Step 2:

Complete the licence application and lodge it with the Integrated Customer Service Centre in Room 1324, 13/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon City, Hong Kong.


Licence application procedures (for electronic form)

Step 1:

Register as a Trade Single Window user.

Step 2:

Submit the electronic licence application via the Trade Single Window.

 

An import/export licence will normally be issued after one clear working day following the date of submission. For application submitted in paper form, the licence will be ready for collection at the Integrated Customer Service Centre. For applications submitted via the Trade Single Window, the licences will be issued via the Trade Single Window. Applicants are advised to submit their applications well in advance of arrival/departure of shipments to avoid committing an offence of unlicensed importation/exportation.
