Electronic Services for Certificate of Origin (CO)

Electronic service for CO service was introduced in August 1999. Electronic services for CO covers Certificate of Hong Kong Origin and Certificate of Origin-Processing lodged with Trade and Industry Department and the five Government Approved Certification Organizations (GACOs) (the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong). The service covers fresh applications, re-submission, amendment requests and cancellation requests. In the light of the encouraging response from traders, full migration to electronic submission and CO has been implemented as from 25 September 2000.
