The Agreement on Trade in Services – New facilitation measure in the legal services sector

To facilitate Hong Kong professionals to enter the Mainland market, and promote the cooperation and development of professional services between the two places, the Mainland removes the attestation requirement for copies of identification documents of Hong Kong permanent residents applying for Mainland legal professional qualifications from 1 July 2017.  This facilitation measure in the legal services sector is incorporated into paragraph (3) of Article 6 of Annex 3 to the Agreement on Trade in Services.
