Textiles Trader Registration Circular No. 6/2008

Payment of Textiles Trader Registration Scheme Annual Fee

This is to inform traders that with effect from 21 July 2008, payment of Textiles Trader Registration Scheme (TTRS) annual fee may be made at the Collection and Form Sales Office of the Trade and Industry Department at Room 104, 1/F, Trade and Industry Department Tower, 700 Nathan Road, Kowloon.

DETAILS

2. Currently, payment of TTRS annual fee should be made at any branch of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC). As a facilitating measure, the Department will accept payment of TTRS annual fee at the Department's Collection and Form Sales Office by means of cash, EPS or cheque with effect from 21 July 2008. 
   
   
3. For payment at the Collection and Form Sales Office, traders should complete both Part A and Part B of a designated "TTRS Annual Fee Demand Note" (Demand Note) at Annex I (pdf format). (The Demand Note can be obtained from the Central Registration Office of the Department or downloaded from the Department's website at http://www.tid.gov.hk/.) Traders should bring a photocopy of the valid Business Registration (BR) Certificate together with the duly completed Demand Note to the Collection and Form Sales Office for effecting payment. The photocopy of the BR Certificate, Part B of the Demand Note with a franking by the Collection and Form Sales Office and a payment receipt will be issued to the traders after payment. Traders should return the franked Part B of the Demand Note together with a completed application form for TTRS and other necessary documents to the Central Registration Office for processing.
   
   
4. Traders may continue to adopt the current mode of payment at HSBC apart from effecting payment of TTRS annual fee at the Collection and Form Sales Office.
