Round-the-Clock
Electronic Service for Textiles Notifications
Introduction
To facilitate the
trade and in line with government's policy of promoting electronic commerce,
the Trade and Industry Department (TID) is now proceeding with necessary
development work in conjunction with Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited
(Tradelink) to enable textiles traders registered under the Textiles
Trader Registration Scheme (TTRS) to submit textiles notifications round-the-clock
via the electronic service by Tradelink. The enhanced service is scheduled
to be launched on 4 February 2008.
Scope
of Service

Since 30 May
2003, the Government has introduced electronic service for TTRS and
service is available between 0700 hours to 2300 hours daily. With
the enhanced service due to be available with effect from 4 February
2008, registered textiles traders can submit textiles notifications
round-the-clock. The new service will cover submissions for all types
of textiles notifications, including fresh submission, re-submission,
request for amendment and request for cancellation of notifications.

and Benefits of Electronic Service

The new round-the-clock
electronic service will facilitate the textiles trade's operations,
and adds further value to the benefits of using electronic service
already set out in Textiles Trader Registration Circular No. 4/2007
of 16 May 2007. More details about the electronic service for TTRS
