Delivery of Textiles Notifications under the Electronic System

Delivers a textiles notification to the Director via the electronic service.

Subject to computer validations, receives the unique Notification Reference Number (UTR) from the Director via the electronic service.

Delivers the relevant UTR to the carrier. (May deliver the textiles notification including all particulars to the carrier where convenient). |

- Receives the UTR from the registered textiles trader.

Retains possession of the imported textiles until the textiles notification including the UTR and all particulars is received from the registered textiles trader.

Within 14 days after the day on which he receives the UTR or on which the textiles are imported (whichever is the later), delivers paper Note or electronic manifest to the Director quoting the UTR. |

Note : Electronic service for submission of manifest has been available since 11 April 2003. Before full migration to the electronic manifest service is implemented, carriers may continue to lodge their manifest in paper form. |
