Introduction of Bilingual Form for
Export Licence (Textiles) Form 4 (TIC353)
Introduction
Further to Import Licensing (Textiles) Circular No. 17/2003 of 30 December 2003, informing traders of the introduction of bilingual form for the Import Licence (Textiles) Form 7 with effect from 27 December 2003, this notice announces the introduction of bilingual form for the Export Licence (Textiles) Form 4.
Introduction of Bilingual Form
- The Export Licence (Textiles) Form 4 is all along printed in English only. With effect from 26 January 2004, the bilingual form of Export Licence (Textiles) Form 4 will be available for sale at the Collection and Form Sales Office on 1/F, Trade and Industry Department Tower, 700 Nathan Road, Kowloon. The selling price of the bilingual form remains the same as the existing English form.
- To avoid wastage of resources, the remaining stocks of the English form will still be available for sale at the Collection and Form Sales Office until the stocks have been sold out. Both the English form and the bilingual form are accepted by this Department for the purpose of application for export licence to cover export of textiles.
Completion of Export Licence (Textiles) Form 4
- Irrespective of whether the English form or the bilingual form is being used, for export and re-export of textiles to restrained markets, i.e. the USA, Canada, and the European Union (EU), the licence application must be completed in English. On the other hand, for export and re-export of textiles to non-restrained markets, the licence application can be completed either all in Chinese or all in English.
