of Preference Circular No. 7/98
Revision
of Application Form for Certificate of Origin Form A (TIC 185B)
The Department wishes
to inform the trade that a revised form for the application for Certificate
of Origin Form A (TIC 185B Revised) will be put to use on 1 June 1998.
A specimen of the revised application form
is at the Appendix. The revised form will be available for sale from the
same date.

Traders are requested to note that the Trade Department will accept
applications for Certificate of Origin Form A either on the existing
application form or the revised form between 1 June and 30 June 1998
to allow some time for the running down of the stock of the existing
forms kept by traders. Beginning from 1 July 1998 the Department will
cease to accept any application made on the existing application form
TIC 185B (Rev.). Traders are therefore advised not to stock up the
existing application forms to avoid wastage.

The revised forms are available for sale at HK$34 per pad (96 sets
per pad) at the following offices:
