Principal Process(es)
of Manufacture
The principal process(es)
of manufacture is the manufacturing process(es) required to be performed
in Hong Kong which confers origin to a finished article.
Subsidiary Process
Subsidiary process
is any manufacturing process, other than the principal process as defined
above, which contributes towards the manufacture of an article.
Entire Production
of Goods
Entire production
of an article embraces all the manufacturing processes required to convert
basic materials into a finished article.
Subcontractors
Subcontractors to
be persons in Hong Kong who employ their own labour and agree (verbally
or in writing) to manufacture goods on behalf of a manufacturer, where
the remuneration paid in pursuance of such agreement includes any element
of profit and/or payment for raw materials.
Outworkers
Outworkers are individuals
who receive payment for such labour as is performed at the behest of a
manufacturer, and is done outside of registered manufacturing premises.
