European Union (EU)* : Tariff quotas for certain agricultural and industrial products
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 2/2020 of 2 January 2020, the Council of the EU has published a regulation (EU) 2020/875 on 26 June 2020 to amend regulation (EU) 1388/2013 concerning the autonomous tariff quotas for certain agricultural and industrial products.
2.Provision of tariff quotas is to ensure a sufficient and uninterrupted supply of certain agricultural and industrial products of which are produced in insufficient quantities in the EU and thereby avoid any disturbances in the market for those products. Within those tariff quotas, products can be imported into the EU at reduced or zero duty rates.
