Commercial Information Circular No. 73/2017

European Union (EU)* : Results of an expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of sodium gluconate originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 1006/2015 of 28 October 2015, the European Commission has published an implementing regulation to maintain the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of sodium gluconate originating in the Mainland of China following an expiry review. The regulation is available at:

DETAILS

2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product :
Dry sodium gluconate, with a Customs Union and Statistics (CUS) number 0023277-9 and a Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) registry number 527-07-1, currently falling within CN code ex 2918 16 00 (TARIC code 2918 16 00 10)
(b) Rate of Duty :
53.2% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty (except for two companies whose individual duty rates are 5.6% and 27.1%)
(c) Effective Date : 21 January 2017
(d) Duration : 5 years

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact Yue Yang, Director of Trade Remedy Division under the Fair Trade Bureau of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 8620 3881 9083. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
