European Union (EU)* : Approving Active Chlorine Released from Some Chemicals as Active Substances for Use in Relevant Biocidal Products

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 503/2017 dated 16 June 2017, the European Commission has adopted three Regulations to approve active chlorine released from the following chemicals as active substances for use in relevant biocidal products:

1. sodium hypochlorite for product types 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5;
2. calcium hypochlorite for product types 2, 3, 4 and 5; and
3. chlorine for product-types 2 and 5.
