Commercial Information Circular No. 513/2017

European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of countervailing measures on imports of certain organic coated steel products originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 227/2013 of 15 March 2013, the European Commission has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the countervailing measures on imports of certain organic coated steel products originating in the Mainland of China. The notice is available at:

2.Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the countervailing duty will expire at midnight of 16 March 2018.

3.Definitive countervailing duty on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 16 March 2013 at a rate of 44.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 13.7% to 29.7%).
