Commercial Information Circular No. 13/2017

European Union (EU)* : Results of an expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of sodium cyclamate originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 466/2015 of 8 June 2015, the European Commission (the Commission) has published an implementing regulation to maintain the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of sodium cyclamate originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China following an expiry review. The regulation is available at:

2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product	:	Sodium cyclamate, currently falling within CN code ex 2929 90 00 (TARIC code 2929 90 00 10)
(b) Rate of Duty	:	EUR 0.26 per kilogramme (except for two companies whose individual duty rate is EUR 0.23 per kilogramme)
(c) Effective Date	:	17 July 2016
(d) Duration	:	5 years

3.Separately, the Commission has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty of EUR 1.17 per kilogramme on the subject product that is produced by Fang Da Food Additive (Shen Zhen) Limited and Fang Da Food Additive (Yang Quan) Limited. For details, please refer to Commercial Information Circular No. 590/2016 of 19 July 2016.

4.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact Yue Yang, Director of Trade Remedy Division under the Fair Trade Bureau of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 8620 3881 9083. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
