Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 1114/2017

European Union (EU)* : Amending the Council implementing regulation that imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of ceramic tableware and kitchenware originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 270/2017 of 19 April 2017 concerning the initiation of a partial interim review of the anti-dumping measures imposed on imports of ceramic tableware and kitchenware originating in the Mainland of China, the European Commission (the Commission) has published an implementing regulation to amend the original Council implementing regulation to clarify the product definition. The implementing regulation is available at:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32017R1932&from=EN.

2.The review has established that, due to their different physical, technical and chemical characteristics, different end-uses and different production process, the product types under review do not fall within the product scope of the antidumping measures in force.

3.For goods not covered under the new definition, the definitive anti-dumping duty already paid and the provisional anti-dumping duties definitively collected should be repaid or remitted. Requests for repayment or remission must be made by national customs authorities.

4.For enquiries concerning the content of this circular, please contact the undersigned at 2398 5684.

Yours faithfully,

(Manus LUI)
for Director-General of Trade and Industry
