European Union (EU)* : Results of an Expiry Review of the Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Ferro-silicon Originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 176/2013 of 28 February 2013, the European Commission has published an implementing regulation to maintain the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of ferro-silicon originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China following an expiry review. 2.Salient points are set out below:
(a) Product | : | Ferro-silicon, currently falling within CN codes 7202 21 00, 7202 29 10 and 7202 29 90 and originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | 31.2% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for two companies whose individual rates are 15.6% and 29% respectively). |
(c) Effective Date | : | 11 April 2014 |
(d) Duration | : | 5 years |
BACKGROUND
3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of ferro-silicon originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China has been imposed since 29 February 2008. The current rate of duty is 31.2% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for 2 companies whose individual duty rates are 15.6% and 29% respectively).
4.The European Commission initiated an expiry review on 28 February 2013. As a result of the review, the definitive anti-dumping duty is maintained for a further five years with effect from 11 April 2014.
