Commercial Information Circular No. 992/2013

European Union (EU)*  :  Amendments to Regulation on Food Additives

Further to Commercial Information Circular No 881/2013 dated 4 November 2013, the European Commission (the Commission) has adopted a Regulation to amend and correct Annexes II and III of Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 as well as the Annex of Regulation (EU) No 231/2012. Amendments were made to the use of food additives including Brilliant Black PN (E 151), Algal Carotenes (E 160a (iv)), Calcium Bisulphite (E 227), Potassium Bisulphite (E 228), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Cellulose Gel (E 460(i)) and Sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, Cellulose gum (E 466).
