European Union (EU)* : Impending Expiry of Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Wire Rod Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 399/2009 of 5 August 2009, the European Commission has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of wire rod originating in the Mainland of China.  The notice can be accessed through the following link:  http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:C:2013:318:0006:0006:EN:PDF.

DETAILS

2. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of wire rod originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 6 August 2009.  The rate of duty is 24.0% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for one company whose individual duty rate is 7.9%).

3. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in section 2 of the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at mid-night of 6 August 2014.
