Commercial Information Circular No. 485/2013

European Union (EU)* : Community Eco-Label Award Scheme

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 453/2013 dated 6 June 2013, the European Commission (the Commission) has adopted a Decision to prolong the validity periods of the ecological criteria, as well as the related assessment and verification requirements for the award of the EU Eco-label with regard to the following products:

  1. outdoor paints and varnishes; indoor paints and varnishes; textile products; and bed mattresses to 30 June 2014;
  1. televisions to 31 October 2014;
  1. soil improvers; growing media; wooden furniture; and light sources to 31 December 2014;
  1. footwear; and tissue paper to 30 June 2015;
  1. campsite service; and tourist accommodation service to 30 November 2015;
  1. textile floor coverings; and wooden floor coverings to 31 December 2015; as well as
  1. hard coverings to 30 November 2017.
