European Union (EU) * : Amendment to Annex II to the Regulation Applying a Scheme of Generalised Tariff Preferences for the Period from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2023

Further to the Commercial Information Circulars Nos. 900/2012 of 5 November 2012 and 1076/2012 of 19 December 2012, the European Commission has published a delegated regulation to amend the list of beneficiary countries of the general arrangement under the scheme of generalised tariff preferences for the period from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2023. The delegated regulation can be accessed through the following link:

DETAILS

2.On 31 October 2012, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU published Regulation (EU) No 978/2012 to apply a scheme of generalised tariff preferences for the period from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2023 (the new scheme) and to repeal the current scheme with effective from 1 January 2014. For details, please refer to Commercial Information Circulars Nos. 900/2012 and 1076/2012. Annex II to the Regulation, which lists out the beneficiary countries of the general arrangement under the new scheme, will be amended and replaced by the Annex to the delegated regulation with effect from 22 February 2013. The Mainland of China will remain a beneficiary country in the amended Annex II.
