European
Union (EU)* : Classification of Certain Goods in the
Combined Nomenclature (CN)
The
European Commission (the Commission) has adopted three Regulations concerning
the classification of certain goods in its commodity classification
system, the Combined Nomenclature (CN). The Regulations stipulate the
CN classification of removable insoles; transformer modules for communication
in wired or wireless networks; as well as multimedia centres for motor
vehicles to ensure uniform application of the CN by Member States' customs
authorities. Details are set out in the Commission Implementing Regulation
(EU) Nos. 696/2012, 697/2012 and 698/2012 respectively, which can be
