Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 648/2009

European Union (EU)* : Regulation on Protection against Dumped Imports (Codified Version)

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 88/2004 of 7 April 2004, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to introduce the codified version of the regulation on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Community. The regulation can be accessed through the following link :
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2009:343:0051:0073:EN:PDF.

DETAILS

  1. The Regulation on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Community has been substantially amended several times since 1996. In the interests of clarity and rationality, the Council sees merit in codifying the said Regulation. The new Council Regulation (EC) No. 1225/2009 of 30 November 2009 provides a clear and single source of the rules on anti-dumping of the European Union, but does not provide for any substantive changes to the rules. It will enter into force on 11 January 2010.
