Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 639/2009

European Union (EU)* : Modification of the Name of a Company Subject to an Individual Anti-dumping Duty Rate Imposed on Imports of Certain Seamless Pipes and Tubes of Iron or Steel Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 504/2009 of 6 October 2009, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a notice to update the name of a company subject to an individual anti-dumping duty rate imposed on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel originating in the Mainland of China. The notice can be accessed through the following link :
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:C:2009:311:0025:0025:EN:PDF

DETAILS

  1. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 7 October 2009. The current duty in force is 39.2% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price, before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 17.7% to 27.2%).

  2. One of the companies subject to individual duty rates, Handan Precise Seamless Steel Pipes Co. Ltd., informed the Commission that on 3 December 2008, it has changed its name to Hebei Hongling Seamless Steel Pipes Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Having examined the information supplied, the Commission concluded that the change of name of the company should not affect the findings of the investigation on which the anti-dumping measures were based, and therefore published the updated information on the company concerned.
